I have drawn the major formers and lofted the cowl. Even at this early stage, it is clear that this is going to be a fast little aircraft.

The T.K.4 is a lovely aeroplane, and you’ve made a great start in lofting the fuselage and wing. I’m a professional aeroplane restorer, and am collecting information for a full-scale flying replica of the T.K.4. I wonder if you’d be willing to share information that you’ve found and developed? In return, I could offer full-scale blueprints for several interesting aeroplanes. Please let me know –
Thanks – Andrew

Hello Jesper !
Your TK4 model is looking good.
I should explain that I am a retired DeHavilland Engineering Apprentice and a member of the “Old Boys Association”
I have been trying to find detailed plans of the TK4 – but very little accurate information seems to be available.
From information I have read, the TK4 was fast but very difficult to fly – in fact an experienced test pilot was killed when the aircraft crashed on a test flight at Hatfield – so take care Andrew !!!

Hi John,
It is a real pleasure to have you on my site. It’s people like you that spur me on to get the stuff finished.
The most detailed drawings I have found so far is in the flight magazine. You can check their website. They have all their back-issues online now.

Hello Jesper,
You are building a model of the TK4 but do not have any plans- is that right??
What scale are you building at, and is this for r/c or static?
Perhaps you would like to send me an email and I may be able to help further.
Kind regards
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for all your assistance. It was great to see the magazine clippings about your father and his TK4 model. There were some very useful fuselage formers in the attached drawings.

Hi Jonathon,
we have been racing an AT6 Midwest Texan and an ARf Red Bull in pylon events and would like to try our hand at Golden Era the period before WW2. I have been looking at different models and the TK4 really appeals. Would it be possible to scale this model up to say an 80″ wingspan and have you seen or heard of people doing this? Any assistance that you could give would be much appreciated.
